Robin's feedback on your coaching
What Robin's feedback is, who can see it, what Robin sends to its AI provider and what it never does with your session, and what to tell your practice client.
Robin's feedback is a set of observations on your own coaching in one practice session. Robin reads them from the transcript against the ICF PCC Markers (2020). Each observation points at one moment: the marker, your words, and the timestamp. Only the coach who hosted the session can ask for it, and only they can see it. It runs when you press the button, never on its own. It is in beta, and it is part of Robin Pro.
What Robin's feedback is
After a transcribed session, the host opens the session page and presses Get Robin's feedback. Robin reads the transcript and returns observations grouped by competency. Each one names a marker in Robin's short words, quotes your words at that moment, and links to the timestamp. If the session has a recording, the timestamp plays it from that moment.
Some observations show a marker you met. Others show a moment the marker invited something you did not do. Both are there to help you notice, not to grade you.
The page also shows your talk balance: the share of the transcribed words that were yours. Robin counts the words itself. The AI does not.
It is observations, not an assessment. There are no scores, no pass or fail, and no verdict on the session. It says nothing about your readiness for a credential or an exam, and it is not evidence for one.
It is in beta. The AI can misread a moment, and it works from a transcript that can mishear. Treat each observation as a prompt to look again at that moment, not as a ruling on it.
Robin's feedback is based on the ICF PCC Markers (2020), published by the International Coaching Federation. Robin uses ICF's competency names so you can read each observation against the original document. The short marker labels are Robin's own words, not ICF's text. Robin is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the International Coaching Federation, and its feedback is not an ICF assessment.
Who can see it
Only you, the host. Your practice client cannot see it, and there is no option to share it. Robin's team does not open it.
Robin reviews the host's coaching, because on Robin one person coaches for the whole session. If you were the practice client in a session, there is no feedback on you. To get feedback on your own coaching, host a session of your own. Who hosts a session explains how booking direction decides the host. How to run a practice session explains why one call means one role.
What Robin sends, and what it never does
Robin sends the whole transcript. That includes your practice client's words, because nobody can observe a coach without the client's side of the conversation. Anthropic, our AI provider, reads it and returns the observations.
Robin replaces your names with your roles first. Before Robin sends the transcript, it replaces your name and your practice client's name with your roles in the session. If your session type has role labels, Robin uses them, for example "the coach" and "the practice client". If it has none, Robin uses "the host" and "the participant". Robin can only replace the names it knows. A nickname, a name the transcript spelled wrong, or the name of another person can still reach Anthropic.
Only you are reviewed. Every observation and every quote is about your turns. The feedback never quotes, summarises, or describes your practice client's words. Before Robin stores an observation, it checks that the quote is one of your own turns, exactly as transcribed. If a note still names either of you, Robin replaces the name with the role before it stores the note. Robin checks the summary in the same way.
Robin's summary is different. Robin Pro also writes a short summary of a session: what your practice client brought, the topics you covered, and what you did as their coach. It describes your client's side of the conversation, because that is what the session was about. Only you can see it, and it is deleted with the transcript, the same as the feedback.
Robin asks Anthropic to keep no copy. Each request goes with zero data retention switched on. Anthropic does not use your session to train its models.
Nothing else. Robin never uses the transcript, the feedback or the summary for analytics, marketing, AI training, or product research. The transcript itself stays where it was, in Robin's storage. Transcripts on Robin covers how it is stored and who can see it.
What to tell your practice client
Under data-protection law you are responsible for the records of the sessions you host, and Robin acts on your instruction. That includes the feedback and the summary. The button is your choice, and telling your practice client is your responsibility, the same as for transcription.
Here are the words for before the session, in your own voice:
I may ask Robin's AI to read the transcript of this session. It gives me feedback on my own coaching, and a short summary of what you brought and what we covered. Only I can see either of them.
For a booking note, the short form:
I may use AI on the transcript of this session, for feedback on my coaching and a short summary of what we covered. Only I see it.
Your practice client keeps every right they hold over the transcript. They can ask you to delete it, and when you do, the feedback and the summary go with it. Who controls your data has the full picture.
How it is stored
The feedback is encrypted at rest, the same way the transcript is. Each time you press Get Robin's feedback or Regenerate, Robin keeps one record of that run.
It never outlives the transcript. When you delete the transcript, Robin deletes every feedback record and every summary with it. There is no separate delete for either. To remove them, delete the transcript from the session's Files.
Robin Pro
Robin's feedback is part of Robin Pro, the same as recording a session.
