How availability works on Robin
Set your weekly hours and timezone — the foundation every booking surface is built on.
Robin's scheduling is built around your weekly hours — the typical times you're free to practise. Your hours mean you're free for a coaching call then, either way round — whether a partner books you as host, or offers you a time to join as their practice client. Both directions read from the same weekly hours. You set them once, and they power every other surface: the overlap chart on your profile, the slot picker your partners use to book you, when a partner suggests you a time, and your own search for sessions that fit your week.
Setting your weekly hours
Open Scheduling → Availability. You'll see a row for each day of the week with the time ranges you're available.
For each day, you can:
- Add as many time ranges as you like — e.g. 6am-9am for early sessions, 12pm-2pm for a midday slot, 6pm-9pm for evenings. Gaps between ranges (lunch, school run, day job) are respected everywhere on Robin.
- Leave a day empty if you're not available at all.
- Copy a day's hours to other days via the kebab menu next to that day.
Changes save automatically.
Your timezone
Robin shows everyone your hours in their local time. Your stored timezone tells us how to translate.
You set it once on the same Availability page. If Robin notices your device is in a different timezone (when you travel, for example), a small modal will offer to update it for you — your hours stay the same wall-clock numbers, just in your new location.
What your practice partners see
When another coach opens your profile, they see a Typical weekly overlap chart showing your hours alongside theirs, in their timezone. Bars in green mean you're both free at that time.
The chart shows your typical week — it doesn't account for one-off changes. For real bookable slots, your partner opens your booking page, which accounts for your hours, holidays, buffers, and existing bookings.
The rest of the scheduling picture
Your weekly hours are the foundation. A few sibling settings build on top:
- Holidays — block specific dates (public holidays, your own days off) without touching your weekly hours.
- Scheduling settings — your minimum notice and buffers, the quiet rules around each booking.
- Session types and your booking page — what you offer, and the link partners book it at.
- Offering someone a time — going the other way, and proposing a slot yourself.
A couple of things worth knowing
- Robin doesn't share your real availability with anyone unless they're a practice partner you've connected with. The overlap chart only renders for coaches you've matched with.
- You can change your hours any time and the overlap chart + picker on every partner's view update immediately.
