Do practice hours on Robin count toward my accreditation?

Robin connects you with other coaches for practice sessions. Qualifying peer coaching may count toward your credential, but a logged session is not automatic approval. For ICF, barter such as peer-to-peer coaching can count as paid experience when it meets the client-coaching requirements: the client comes for coaching, not another purpose, and the interaction is real-time. Check the current requirements for your credential and training programme. Robin doesn't issue certificates or submit hours on your behalf; that responsibility stays with you and your accreditation body.

Will I actually find a match?

You can find coaches across different timezones and programmes. Finding a suitable partner depends on availability, fit, and agreeing to practise together; a match is not guaranteed. You can browse the directory before committing to anything.

Is Robin really free?

Yes. Matching works better when every coach can join, so matching, messaging, scheduling, peer calls and community stay free.

Is my information safe?

You can message and video call other coaches without ever sharing your email, phone number, or social media. Your personal contact details stay private unless you choose to share them. Your profile is only visible to other registered coaches, and we don't sell your data or share it with third parties.

How is this different from posting in a Facebook group?

In a Facebook group, you post publicly, hope someone replies, then swap personal details to schedule a call. On Robin, you browse coaches, message them, schedule, and video call in one place. Your profile is only visible to other registered coaches, and you don't need to share your phone number or send a Zoom link.

What's a 'one-way role'?

Each practice session on Robin has one coaching role and one practice-client role. Book a second session to swap, so each person’s role and hours are logged clearly.

I'm already in a training programme. Why do I need Robin?

Your programme cohort shares your curriculum and terminology, and it may drift apart after training. Robin connects you with coaches who trained somewhere else, so you can practise beyond the people who learned alongside you.

Do I need to be at a certain level to join?

Accepted Answer

No. Robin includes coaches who are starting out, building accreditation hours, returning after a break, and keeping their practice sharp.

Can I practise in a language other than English?

Yes. Robin is used by coaches around the world. List the languages you coach in on your profile to find a partner who speaks yours.
